It's time for the unveiling of the theme I've chosen for Ella's 2nd birthday party...
"A Classic Red Ball Party"
As I went through the process of picking a theme...
I had several ideas picked out based on some of Ella's favorite things.
Among books & purses, balls are one of Ella's obsessions right now.
She squeals when she sees them...
she loves throwing them...
loves trying to play catch...
and she's always wanting to go into the garage to get the basketballs, soccer balls...whatever balls she can get her hands on.
Although the theme is not completely original...(I've seen a few "bouncy ball" parties on the web...)
My spin on it will hopefully make it completely unique.
I wanted something age-appropriate...
something simple...
something with a feminine flair but not overly "girly"...
and because my goal is always to inspire others - not overwhelm them -
I wanted to pick a theme I felt anyone could attempt and easily recreate.
Although I could've gone with a typical pink color scheme...
red represents a more "classic" bouncy ball and that's the look I'm going for!
I'm so excited about this theme...
My head has been spinning with all of the creative/design elements this theme allows for!
Enjoy your Monday everyone!
I hope your weekend was fantastic.
I can tell you we were able to check off some key items on our "to-do" list.
And that is ALWAYS a good feeling!
KEEPING IT REAL
I had intended on keeping Ella's theme a big secret until after the party.
But it's no fun not being able to share all of the details/prep work ahead of time.
Speaking of secrets...
Did you notice in the "On the Horizon" side bar of my blog: "Surprise from Compendium"?
Just a little something I'll be announcing later this week! (i'm SO excited)!

I happen to love the theme! Very awesome! We did a ball party a few years back for our little girl only no color scheme, so I think this will be a TON of fun being able to focus on the red!!! & I love that you share details as you plan & aren't acting all top secret like you are a superstar or something....YAY!
I have said it before & I will say it again...I LOVE your fun, fresh & new ideas & I love that you encourage creativity in your readers!
I'm bouncing with excitement as I wait to see what this party is all about! :) Great idea!!
Ella's birthday is going to be awesome! 'Lovin' what I see! Oh, and about the side bar....'can't wait to see what else is in store!
Hugs to you, Jess,
Renee
