But it's because I'm so busy...
I'm actually inspired to post a few photos.
Some REAL photos.
Photos I took yesterday depicting "tradeoffs"...
The tradeoffs of being so completely busy...
my two year old decided to keep herself really busy with some projects of her own.
Ella + black permanent marker =
• couch art •
• carpet art •
• ottoman art •
I guess the fingernail polish art she created a couple of months ago - under the supervision of her two olders sisters, mind you,
needed another design element added to complete the work of art??
• dog art •
yep...not even our dog, hamilton, could escape being a blank canvas for this budding artist...
• the art of having a "time out" •
Finding the balance is never easy...
I'd say things were certainly "out-of-balance" yesterday. *wink*
Enjoy your Wednesday everyone...
KEEPING IT REAL
I'm seriously thinking I need an assistant...
or at least someone to help with Ella a few times a week?

Oh my. And I thought my day was bad yesterday! With an almost one year old son I can totally relate to finding it difficult balancing being a mompreneur and children. Some days I drive myself crazy and wonder if it would be better being in the work place. Feel like a horrible mom - especially on days when business deadlines must be met. Anyway, best wishes on getting the marker out and finding the perfect balance. ;)
Ohh my! I know those days and sometimes you need to step away for a minute.. Hope today will be a better one.. and yes you need an assistant.. :D
OH MY! I know all about it. Friday night at 6 pm I looked at my little one and noticed his eye was TOMATO RED! Yep, all weekend inside and Monday morning doc visit concluded pink eye. You gotta love your babies...they sure keep things interesting!
Oh, Kori, I'm feeling for you. And at the same time grateful to know that I'm in good company in the work/mom balancing act! (And BTW, a magic eraser will go a long way on the sharpie art - had a similar experience last year involving the dining room table and couch.)
And I totally meant Jessica, not Kori. :) I met you both at the same time and am still getting the names mixed up!!
Forgive me, but I laughed. Especially at 'dog art'. I hope you laugh too . . . tomorrow. And a few hours of help a week for Ella would be a good thing, for both of you :) Keep on! LOVE your blog!
I had a young artist too. Sharpies were her favorite medium (even though I thought I kept them hidden and out of reach!) She also loved food color (green was her preference - The brand new countertop and tiled floors were her canvas...twice!) And good old paint and bingo dotters from the craft bin were fair play too. My advice (and believe me, they work) is to get a bottle of cheap hairspray for getting ink, etc out of fabric and Mr Clean Magic Erasers actually get sharpie off walls. Clorox Spray is great for countertops and tiled floors. You just have to love them and embrace their creativity (it's the only way to stay sane) *wink* (Especially when the husband keeps asking "Why does she have access to this stuff?")
oh my, that's some serious art work. Her little time out face is precious!
My little guy has been busy as well (luckily not with markers), but none the less having fun being, well two.
Here's a pic:

Along the same lines as the hairspray, hand sanitizer works great on Sharpie as well!
This is my favorite post all day! I know so many of us can relate!
