Not because I need to be punished...*wink*
I just need some quiet time.
Time to collect my thoughts...
time to do nothing...
time to read...
time to rest...
time to be surrounded by silence...
and time to listen to that silence.
Time.
That's all I'm asking for.
I know.
I get it.
It's actually quite a lot to ask for.
Especially when you share your life with other people who happen to live in the same house you do. *wink*
Regardless...
time to yourself is important.
I think that's why I'm craving it so very deeply right now.
I realize how sacred it is.
And I haven't seen...
touched...
smelled...
tasted...
or felt that sacred place in awhile.
It's about time.
While I work on the logistics of it all...
(because let's face it...that's going to take time)...
Here's a little teaser for what's to come.
The beginnings of an adorable diy project I can't wait to share with you.
I know you are going to love it!
KEEPiNG iT REAL
Don't mistake my request for a little time out as complaining.
Not at all.
I'm grateful for everything going on in my life right now - as busy as it is.
I merely recognize when my battery needs some recharging...
and it's time. *wink*
I'd love to know what you all do to keep a full charge?

What are you doing with those flowers?!
Oh Jessica! I hear you! I'm there with you.
so, what do I do for a *time out* (other than taking a extra loooong time in the potty while hubby watches the kids...)
I send the kids out with my husband so I can have the house to myself and just sit.
Last week, for the first time in YEARS, I kid you not, I took a bubble bath. Went to Publix, bought the fanciest bubbles and soaks, some champagne, and aromatherapy candles. I made myself a play list of my favorite tunes and went away. Granted it started after 9pm but it was MY time.
At first, I felt antsy "how could I be in here taking this time when there's so much I could be doing?" I soaked long enough for the guilt to melt first, then I made myself stare at the fire flickering on one of the candles and focus on the grandness of something as simple as fire. I closed all of the pop-up windows in my thoughts and allowed myself to think of nothing except that little fire on the candle. It was truly relaxing.
ahhh...the memory...
ok back to nap-war at my place. see ya!

Toni...it's a little experiment. *wink*
Debra - oh my! I loved your comment. I was visually transported to that place with you - and then I love how you closed with the "nap-war" comment. Back to reality. *wink* Thank you so much for sharing! That was great to read!!
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [15 Apr 01:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
I am loving that flower - can't wait to see more!
Have to also comment on the concept of 'pop up windows' in your mind... oh my, what an amazingly accurate way to describe it!
