Three days of nothin' but family!! (50+ of us)
No computer, facebook, twitter...
(I actually shutdown my computer and unplugged it from the wall - it was quite liberating) *wink*
Beach on friday...
Dinner friday night...
Canoe trip saturday...
Swimming and family slideshow Saturday night...
BBQ and family photos Sunday...
And let me tell you...
It went by way. too. fast.
Slowly getting back into the swing of things this morning...
here at home and in the studio.
I'm looking forward to looking through all of the photos and video I took from the weekend.
Today, I want to share with you a glimpse into one aspect of the popcorn bar I put together...
for us to enjoy during the family slideshow I created...
Popcorn Balls for the kids from Kernel Encore - displayed on The Pastry Pedestal™
And LOTS of popcorn...
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire weekend!!
I hope you all have been spending time with your family and loved ones this summer.
I know the school year has already started back for some of you.
The lazy days of summer are quickly coming to a close for us here in Florida.
Sadly....it's gone by too fast!!
KEEPiNG iT REAL
NOT ONE aspect of this weekend went smoothly for me...
• Arrived to the beach on Friday as most everyone was leaving
• Arrived 30 minutes late to dinner Friday night
• Last ones to arrive for the canoe trip on Saturday morning
• Had to watch the 1 hour and 30 minute slideshow on my iMac instead of the big screen like we had originally planned
because of numerous technical difficulties.
• Couldn't set up my popcorn bar the way I had originally intended because part of the display was damaged in transport
• Was 2 hours late for the BBQ on Sunday
Despite all of that...
the beach was still enjoyable...
dinner was GREAT...
canoeing was SO much fun...
everyone LOVED the slideshow that generated a lot of laughter and some heartfelt tears...
the popcorn bar still worked out...
and the BBQ had an incredibly large spread of food and I got great video and photos of everyone!
I absolutely LOVED spending time with family members I've missed and love dearly.
