Christie has been a favorite customer of mine for some time now.
You may remember the Western Style Baby Shower Luncheon she hosted.

I'm always thrilled to work with her and I love that she used the Guitar Collection in my shoppe as inspiration to host a simple girly music party for her sweet little Cecilia's 2nd birthday!

When she mentioned wanting to add some "gold glitter" to the invitation, I couldn't wait to see the results.

Christie gives us the rest of the party details:

Inspiration for the party
I fell in love with the color scheme of the invitation that you designed.  LOVE pink and orange together and I had been seeing it paired with gold in other parties online.  I knew I had to incorporate that and you helped me with the Stickles. Then I decided to back the invites with gold scrapbook paper - which was super thick and equals perfection when the invitation has a heavy weight.  I used spray adhesive (my favorite) to adhere the glitter paper to the back of the invites.

Décor and DIY Ideas

Name banner created from pleated flowers I made from paper and glitter letters cut out on my Cricut.
DIY Door Wreath greeted guests upon arrival.
Garland of party hats, sunglasses, beads and printable banner pieces from the Guitar Collection.
Gold sequins runner on the cake table that I cut from fabric purchases at JoAnn Fabrics
Pink, gold and orange balloons
Table confetti (in the exact colors!  Random!) from Target

Dessert and Food

Cecilia's great grandmother (my husband's grandmother) is an amazing Italian cook.  She made all the food!  Fresh, homemade lasagna, pizza, soup, bread and cookies.  I made some grilled chicken and a colorful garden salad (for those looking for a healthier option ;-).  The birthday cake was made by a friend of my sister in law's who does cakes on the side.  She does amazing work.  I showed her this inspiration picture from Glorious Treats and she ran with it, matching the cupcakes as well.

Birthday Outfit

Both girls and I stuck with the pink/orange/gold theme.  One of my absolute favorite pictures is of the three of us in our gold glitter ballet flats! Cece's tutu was actually a Christmas gift from her aunt and uncle and as soon as she opened I knew it would be perfect for her birthday party.  I ordered her number 2 shirt from an Etsy shop.  The woman I corresponded with was very accommodating and she altered one of her existing designs to create the onesie I was looking for.  The quality was fantastic.

Party Activities
Dance floor for some serious dancing including some "freeze dancing".

Party Favors
Bags filled with a rock star theme - colored little hair extensions, sunglasses, beads, musical recorders (parents loved that one), inflatable guitars and microphones from Oriental Trading.

KEEPiNG iT REAL "PARTY EDiTiON"
as quoted by Christie:
"Miss Pammie, a musical guest, was supposed to perform but the original date of the party was a blizzard and the weekend we moved the party to also experienced a rather large snow storm through Miss Pammie's commute from NY to RI so she couldn't make it.  We moved into this house in June so our dining room was empty at the time of the party.  I quickly (bc it was the day before the rescheduled party when we decided it wasn't safe for Pam to travel) turned the empty dining room into a playroom for the kids.  We had a tool bench, easel, kitchen/tea party section, and a stuffed animal pretend play center set up. We also played a little pin the bracelet on Dora and some freeze dancing.  Not as good as one of Pam's performances, but the kids had fun playing with toys and each other.
